WineStone brands now distributed by José Maria da Fonseca Distribuição.

WineStone has entrusted the national distribution of the new brands in its Quinta do Côtto (Douro) and Paço de Teixeiró (Vinhos Verdes) portfolios to José Maria da Fonseca Distribuição (JMFD), the company that already managed the distribution of Ravasqueira (Alentejo).

The partnership signed between WineStone and JMFD, which begins at the start of 2024, is based on an integrated strategy aimed at strengthening and consolidating the positioning, recognition and sales of two brands with weight and history that go far beyond their regions.

"With the aim of relaunching two classic Portuguese brands, WineStone decided to consolidate the joint work that was already being done with José Maria da Fonseca Distribuição, namely with the Ravasqueira brand. This is a partner who has shown us consistency and the ability to enhance the brands they work with. We are confident that the Quinta do Côtto and Paço de Teixeiró brands are ready for a new cycle, with great ambition, which begins in January," says Pedro Pereira Gonçalves, CEO of WineStone. "Our ambition for growth can only be realized if we have partners with the same focus, committed to creating value, generating awareness and boosting the prestige of our wines in the national market," he emphasizes.

Paulo Costa, Executive Director of José Maria da Fonseca Distribuição, says:

"The renewal and strengthening of our partnership is proof of the work done with Ravasqueira and adds value to our commercial offer with wines of undeniable reputation and excellent quality, which strategically complement our list of references."

The creation of WineStone, which has the ambition of becoming one of the main operators in the wine sector in Portugal, was recently announced to the market by the shareholder group. This coincided with the announcement that, in addition to the production of Alentejo wines (Ravasqueira, Guarda Rios, Coutada Velha and Dona Vitória), WineStone has also acquired assets in the Douro (Quinta do Retiro Novo and Quinta do Côtto) and in the Vinho Verde region (Paço de Teixeiró), as well as the iconic Krohn Port brand.
